Anyone else think it’s time for a Time Zone interface revamp?
The time zone selector tool in iOS 13 in 2020 uses the same limited list of cities as the time zone selector in iOS 1.0 in 2007. To this day, you can’t manually select a time zone (GMT -5 etc), or type in the name of any old city, or select from a map, you have to randomly type in nearby regional cities until you happen on one of the few in the database. If you’re really smart you can google it to find a list or even a map of the cities that are allowed, but in the more likely case that the city your appointment is actually in is not among those cities, Apple’s answer is “good luck guessing.”
Am I alone in thinking we could do better for this in 2020?
Note this isn’t an issue for setting your phone’s time, as that’s generally handled well automatically. It is only for creating and editing appointments.
