Trackball problems on 13.4
So, I have an iPad Air 3 and an Elecom Deft Pro trackball, which I really like. It can be wired, wireless with a dongle, or bluetooth. It even has a switch to go between wireless with the dongle and bluetooth, so I can have it paired to my desktop, flip the switch, and it’ll jump to my iPad.
I paired it to my iPad (with 13.4) with no issues. But when connected via Bluetooth, it simply doesn’t work. Shows as connected, but no cursor…nothing.
If I hook it up to the iPad with the wire through the camera connection kit, the cursor works, I can even customize the buttons (though this requires assistive touch be active, which is super annoying). However, there seems to be no way to actually exit an app (except via assistive touch, which again I have no desire to have on…I don’t want a white dot permanently on my screen). I have no ‘home bar’ like has been shown in some guides and obviously can’t do gestures. I can access the dock, but that’s it. Slide over also doesn’t seem to work. Also, scrolling is inverted (and a bit janky).
What’s the deal here?
