iPad App that Can Find and Highlight Words in PDF
On Acrobat on my Mac, I have a function built under “Action Wizard” that takes a pre-defined list of words and highlights every instance of them in a PDF. Does anybody know of an iPad app that can do this? Back in October, when I last had my iPad Pro 11″ before replacing it with my Surface Pro 5 LTE (bought through the Business program since it is the only Intel Surface Pro with LTE available), I couldn’t find anything, and the Acrobat app did not have the “Action Wizard” tab or the ability to do this.
Now that I’ve seen the new iPad Pro Magic Keyboard, and given it looks super-cool, I’d like to see if it is possible now or if anybody knows of a solution, since I really want one.
Feel free to ignore the next part if you don’t care, it’s not 100% relevant:
My backstory, and why I probably should avoid the urge: I have had every iPad since the original, including all the Pros (up to this new one), and found that I never actually used them for more than the first two weeks I had them, yet still kept buying new ones when they came out — foolish, I know. I just couldn’t get work done on them, and didn’t like even browsing on them or watching videos. Then the Pros came out, which I still never really used BUT I carried them around in the car incase I needed to pull something up quickly — that was kind of useful. Now iPadOS has been opened up in some ways (multitasking has become less frustrating, but I’m really hopeful about trackpad support) to the point that I might use them, but this is something I really need my iPad to do before I even think about switching back… or I will just spend $1200+ and it’ll collect dust and be used very rarely… it is very important in my workflow. For what it’s worth, I work a lot in spreadsheets, and am a crazy multitasker… and I love a mouse (though, again, I’m hopeful this could be what makes the iPad good for me).
