Apple Hates Northern Ireland
Okay so maybe a little bit of a clickbait title but semi-true, let me explain!
I waited until after launch to pick up an iPad pro 11″ as an upgrade for my iPad pro 9.7″ because I wanted to wait for reviews and others thoughts before making the £888 drop for the 64GB WiFi version with the pencil. Only to realise that outside of the pre-order devices, no where is stocking them, not even apple themselves. No deliveries of the 3rd gen iPad pro are coming to northern Ireland until at least the 2nd week of December, meanwhile in the rest of the world everyone can walk into the Best Buy, Targets and Wallmarts (or wherever else you folks like to purchase your Apple devices).
This seems pretty unfair, even if I order online with apple themselves, the predicted delivery date is November 28th.
Why is this an issue for me? My mother is currently going through cancer treatment and her Kindle Fire 7 is painfully slow and has so little app support its embarrassing, so I gifted her my iPad pro 9.7 because it would definitely be more than enough for her Netflix and games. This leaves me with no iPad, on which I usually run my life; my work, my school life and I have a huge job coming up in January where I need a device to take notes and learn them off.
Anyone else here having extreme difficulty getting their hands on the 3rd gen Pro’s?
TLDR: Apple not resupplying stores outside preorder devices until over a month after launch
