11” Woes… and…. bends
Turning into a bit of a saga here with my iPad Pro 11”.
Contact online support about hot screen, specifically left side.
Support tries diagnostic, no go, off to Apple store for appointment.
Tech checks it out, meh could be software… me: ok fine whatever, I know it isn’t but go ahead and see. Sends me on my way. Obviously no change.
Appointment 2 at the store now: doing the same thing, it has to be hardware. She brings me a new one in a shipping box.
Me: take iPad home, start restoring from iCloud. Happy that it’s not a heating pad for my hand anymore.
Also me: goes to university next morning, start writing with pencil, iPad starts wobbling in case on table.
Annoyed me: WTF?? Takes iPad out of case… HOLY HELL, the thing is bent in 3 spots. Twisted across diagonally as well. (It has been used for all of 20 mins at this point, I’ve had it for about 16hours)
Me at Apple store: I guess I should have looked before I left, but it’s really bent and I’ve hardly used it.
Tech: oh, I’ve neverrrrrr seen this before. But hey, I’m cool with replacing it. BUT, the one we gave you yesterday was the last one we had… so I’ve ordered you one.
Me: leaves, knowing I’ll be back a 4th time, with bendy iPad in my hand.
Also me: hey, 3 iPads in 1 year for the price of 1? Sure why not!
