Bad Experience in Google Docs

One of the examples that Apple brought regarding desktop-class safari was Google Docs.
I use Google Docs a lot and have always found your application less efficient than the desktop version.
However, using it on iPadOS has been a bad experience and not at all fluid. At various times I have to touch the screen several times for the keyboard to appear, among other frustrations.
Has anyone else had the same bad experience with Google Docs, Sheets, etc?
