What wireless mouse should I get for my ipad? Is it actually practical?

So I’ve bought an ipad recently and plan to use it on my bed with a stand/mount.
What I’m thinking is buying a wireless keyboard and a mouse to control everything, which inncludes normal web surfing to playing games or doing codes.
My concern is whether ipad supports mouse to its full functionality. I know ipad has these unique gestures like going back to home screen etc since it is a tablet, and I’m wondering if this can all be performed using a mouse.
Does having extra buttons on a mouse have advantage in controlling the ipad?
What should I get? Currently looking on mx anywhere 2 or mx master .
