Question – iPad for grandma with MS
Hi all, can anyone advise on this?
I set up a 6 year old iPad mini for our grandma who has MS and no fine motor control. We set it to automatically answer FaceTime calls so she doesn’t have to do anything when her kids call her.
It sometimes wakes up when you call her and sometimes doesn’t.
When it doesn’t, it seems could wake it up with a short press of the home button. But she can only do a long press. This kept invoking Siri, so we turned off the Siri home button function hoping this would help. But now upon long press of the home button it goes into “want to set Siri up?” routine instead of just waking up.
Anyone know how to make it so a long press of the home button simply wakes the iPad up and doesn’t do ANY Siri anything?
Thank you so much if you can help!
