Thought on Apple Store Closures
A random thought on the current closure of Apple Stores:
How cool would it be if Apple during COVID-19 is still giving these employees work hours in order to conduct remote cross-specializing training between these roles?
1) It would be a good-will respect for their employees and we could get Genius Bar trained Technicians throughout the stores so that they can still get paid for this time.
2) It could be a boon for a person to walk in and potentially get products assessed and processed on the spot.
A more trained workforce that understands the other aspects along with Genius-bar queues essentially reset across the country could unclog the glut of workload that has hammered Apple Stores (big and small) over the years. This along with a grateful workforce that knows Apple will support them in times as challenging as a pandemic would reduce overturn for quite some time. Less stress, more knowledge, more capability, fresh start. I hope Apple is doing this; their Store employees deserve the best.
