Posting this for a friend who is a boomer at heart with technology. One day, her Apple Watch Series 3 stopped working. Specifically:

1. Heartrate sensor stopped working
2. Movement sensor stopped working

This happened despite no physical damage. When she went to the Apple Store or called up Apple’s help lines, they basically told her to pound sand and that they “have no way to repair software issues” which sounds like something preposterous to me. Basically told her she has to buy a whole new watch, which she obviously did not want to do.

Since both of these sensors above (and maybe others, I haven’t checked it out in person) have failed, as a software developer it seems pretty obvious to me that it’s an Apple issue and not a customer problem. She’s done 4 hard resets on the watch to no effect.

**Any Apple Store employees here, can you shine a little light on to exactly how to resolve this issue? Is there a magic codeword to say or did she just get unlucky talking to bad Apple reps?**
