My iPad is not playing nice with my pc desktop and Zoom

For my job I have to do slide presentations over Zoom. I use Zoom on my desktop pc then share the screen with my iPad which has the Keynote presentations that I use. Almost every time, at one point during the presentation, the slides will not progress and I will have to restart the share screen process. I’m not sure what generation iPad I have but I think its an earlier version.
