Turns out, Apple’s customer service is also bad. I continue being disappointed with my iPad.
Some time ago I wrote about my issues using an iPad for anything different from media consumption. In the meanwhile, my magic keyboard for the iPad got an issue – a piece of sand seems to be stuck under the “I” key. It is now very difficult to press that key. As this letter is used quite often, this has in practiace rendered the entire keyboard unusable.
So I went to the nearest Apple Center thing (or whatever it is) to have the keyboard fixed. I go there, literally money in hand, ready to pay for the repair. It should be, like, the easiest repair in the book. Just remove the button, get the sand out and get the key right back in.
Turns out, they can’t do this. These keyboards are too complicated to have them serviced, they said.
Once again, I am brought to regret buying this device. This ultra-expensive keyboard is the unusable and I cannot do anything about it without losing the warranty.
