My iPad is arriving, does Forger and Affinity Designer accomplish what I need?
So I have an iPad arriving in a couple days and already have the Apple Pencil. The primary use for the iPad will be drawing 2D images for an educational mobile game I’m making for my son so he can have a more interactive way to learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, spelling, etc. this is what I plan to use Affinity Designer for. I do plan to pick up Procreate as well for backgrounds. This should take care of the kid game.
Now, normally I do PC 3D games and am wondering if Forger can essentially replace the Material creation of Substance Designer for some simple 3D models (such as the floors, walls, etc. that would populate my game maps.)
I’m not very artistically inclined, and this will be my first iPad so I’m unsure if the software I’m picking up will accomplish what I need (mainly Forget on material/texture creation comparatively to Substance Designer for 3D Static Meshes.) If anyone can shed some information or recommendations, I’d greatly appreciate it!
