RIP Macbook Pro 2013 – Can I trade it in even though all my files are there?
Spent better part of a day last week cleaning up my really old macbook pro. This guy has been with me since senior year high school and I’m now starting my 3rd year at work.
Now today, I tried powering it up again and it makes the chime sound but it doesn’t turn on (at least i don’t think so screen stays black). Luckily I cleaned up most files I needed last week! I’m missing some other stuff though which sucks and I was supposed to get it today….
Anyways so I was planning on trading it in the Apple store but all my stuff are in there and I’m still signed in some apps. Pretty sure it’s still in my hard storage. Is that dangerous? If so, how do I restore everything to factory settings when I can’t even get it to turn on? Anyone else experience this problem with really old devices ☹️
